Fun for me is music festivals, board games with friends, dancing, spa appointments, sex, restaurants with friends, disc golf, sex again. I try to live my life with as much of those activities in my life as possible and surround myself with peope in recovery. I know that it will take some time to build up.
The important thing to me is to accept that there will be less opportunity for "fun" in early recovery.. and it will take time to create my "fun community" in sobreity, but if I am impatient.. it will happen.
I like to read. I love science fiction and horror books, I love deep and dark stories that encourage you to imagine all kinds of scenarios and characters, reading is better than any movie or series because you are the one with the power to imagine what's taking place as you read
I love to read as well. If you like mindfulness stuff. My Suggested readings include, The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle, and anything by Jon Kabat Zinn.
